Eternal has been a wonderful and magical place for many of us to write creatively with those we care for most. Unfortunately, as with all good things, it must eventually come to an end. That end is now. For the past year, Eternal has been a safe haven for open creativity, community, and fun, with like-minded individuals and incredible friendships. Alas, the sun has come and set, and will rise no more. Eternal is closed, indefinitely. Please collect your coding tables, profile information, and anything personal from the site. The site will be permanently shut down on February 1st. The boards are no longer open for posting, but all can still be accessed. This is not goodbye - it is merely "until we meet again". We are out there in the community, writing, celebrating friendship and the incredibly complex, intricately woven stories we've all created with the characters we so love. Please consider our affiliates (Fimbulvetr, Caeleste, Novus) to continue your incredible stories, or join us at Ourania.

Thank you for being a part of Eternal, and thank you for a wonderful year.

Sideralis is a common land and cannot be claimed.

Sol had Wondermere.

So Noc decided his namesake island, too, needed a common land in which to convive under vast starry skies. So, he widened the channel that ran from North to South of the island and made it a broad, calm river, whose dark water held in its glassy surface a million stars and galaxies.

On either side of this huge river, thick, strange vegetation grows, thinning where the river borders Astraldune; crawling up mountain sides and hilly tracts near Mountainfade and Scarwood’s borders. Trees with dark bark and leaves that blink with old, wise light; flowers, in within the thick, dark forest, that glow like bright suns on fine stalks ‒ a mere moment spent nearby in their warm, loving glow is sufficient to surmise that these were made in the image of his beloved Sol. All manner of flora and fauna that seem hewn from space and nighttime call Sideralis home, they rarely ever wander into neighbouring territories, for it seems they feel most at home nearby the cosmic river’s banks.

On the East side of the river rises a tall ridge. A path lined with flowers, like suns and stars alike, guides the way to the top, where the traveller (or, travellers) is met by a large, natural granite pavillion, with four huge weeping willow trees standing on each corner. The leaves on their draping branches pulse slowly with a romantic, soft glow ‒ like moonlight ‒ and they graciously pull their branches to side to allow a clear view of the sky when any visitor wishes to gaze upon the stars.
